Riverside Drive does the double - winning both Woking and Spelthorne & Runnymede Drama Festivals this month.

Many congratulations to Judith Dolley and her team on a superb performance at Spelthorne Festival last Friday, 25th October. It was lovely to see so many supporters there.

In her summing up of the week, adjudicator Jan Palmer Sayer praised the quality of the festival and the excellent atmosphere and support of all involved in running it so efficiently.

At the awards ceremony, she declared RDG's production of Riverside Drive the winner. Awards were also made to Judith Dolley for Best Director and to Graham Collier for Best Actor. There were also five nominations for awards - Marc Anderson (Best Actor), Nancy Usher (Best Supporting Player), and to the production generally for the awards for Comedy, Stage Presentation and Technical Merit.

It was a special night for Graham as, in addition to his acting award he also (under the nom de plume of Luffy McTuggle) won the Best New Play Award for his play Stay'd For performed by Ottershaw Players.

Many congratulations to everyone on the two well-deserved wins. The play is now eligible from both Woking and Spelthorne Festivals to be selected for the All-Winners Festival next July in the Isle of Man.
