The following week, the play had even greater success, winning the Spelthorne Festival. Other trophies were won by Judith Dolley (Best Director), Frankie Godliman (Best Actress) and Caroline Ross (Best Supporting Player). Nominations were given to Marc Anderson (Best Actor) and for the awards for Stage Presentation and Technical Merit.

The Best Director trophy, designed and made by Brian Smithies, husband of RDG's Gillian Smithies, in memory of Jane Walters, was presented to Judy by Wally Walters - a touching moment.
