Ron Williams

19 appearances in RDG productions

In 1988 Ron enjoyed the Sundowners' production of LOVE FROM JUDY at the Spelthorne festival so decided to join RDG when he was immediately cast in THE ACCRINGTON PALS. He then went on to appear in our 100th production - Ayckbourn's A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL. He donned his army uniform again for his 1991 appearance in the festival success THE LONG AND THE SHORT AND THE TALL.

He also appeared in Equus but his first love was for musical entertainment. He was in Guys and Dolls in 1992 and he - along with Roy Selfe - often compered our musical compilation shows breaking into a softshoe shuffle for their Flanagan and Allen routine.

The group were greatly shocked by the news of Ron's early death in late 2001. Ron was a much-loved man of the theatre.
