The Life of Brian - a Celebration of the life of Brian Walters had 1 performance almost 17 years ago (on the 17th of June 2007) at TASIS England School Theatre

Brian Walters, who died in December 2006, was a valued and active member of RDG for over 35 years. His many talents and skills meant he contributed to the life of the group in many ways - on stage in musicals and plays and in the band pit playing his trusty banjo. He also stage managed some productions and his practical skills came to the fore backstage, contributing hugely to the creation of many, many beautiful sets. He also helped renovate both The Cowshed and The Studio, the two rehearsal/set building "homes" for the group over the years.

This production is a celebration of Brian's life at RDG, taking the form of songs from many of the musical shows Brian was involved with. His friend and colleague of forty years, Roy Selfe, links the musical numbers with amusing and touching anecdotes from his personal reminiscences.

Carolyn Murphy and Paul Henry are the director/choreographer and musical director respectively - they both knew Brian virtually all their lives; and many of the cast and band also knew Brian over many decades.

Proceeds from the show will be donated to Brian's and his wife Pauline's nominated charities - The Macmillan Nurses and the Marie Curie Fund.
