David Webb
A highy experienced actor David joined RDG in 2005 and was immediately cast as the complex Dale Harding in our compelling production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
He followed this by his appearance in Not A Game For Boys. - a many-layered performance which won the Best Actor award at the 2006 Elmbridge Drama Festival.
He began 2007 by giving a remarkably accomplished performance in the hugely demanding central role Alan Turing in Breaking The Code and ended the year with his warm and moving performance as Osborne in our atmospheric production of Journey's End In 2009 he gave a heartfelt performance in Arthur Miller's Broken Glass. The following year his sensitive and wide-ranging portrayal of Guy Burgess in our multi-award winning production of An Englishman Abroad won high praise from adjudicators. In 2012 he created a richly comic jobsworth character in An Incident at the Border, a performance which won the Best Actor Award at the Elmbridge Festival. After a break of more than a decade David returned to us in 2024 when he played an oleaginous smoothly controlling Judge Brack in the Ibsen classic Hedda Gabler.a
