Gemma Murphy

9 appearances in RDG productions

Daughter of our director and choreographer Carolyn Floyd, Gemma 's dancing skills were displayed in her debut RDG appearance in Dear Diary in 2001. Her first adult appearance was as part of the dance team in Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2006. Prior to that she had appeared in several Sundowners productions. She was a vital member of the dance group in both Mack and Mabel and All that JazZ - an A - Z of Musicals where she was also assistant choreographer - a dual role which she carried out with great success in 42nd Street in 2011. Two years later as well as appearing in Crazy For You she was responsible for much of the vibrant choreography which was such a feature of the popular show. In 2015 Gemma took over the full choreographer role for the musicals including Nine to Five followed by White Christmas. The superb exciting dance numbers were strong features of both those popular shows. In 2019, although happily pregnant with her son Zack, Gemma took time to choreograph our joyful production of Sister Act>
