The Actor's Nightmare

by Christopher Durang

The Actor's Nightmare had 2 performances about 28 years ago (between the 1st of October 1996 and the 23rd of October 1996) at Staines Town Hall

This fun short comedy tells of an actor who is asked to fill in for an absentee player. But is the play Coward, Shakespeare or Beckett? And what are Ellen Terry and Henry Irving doing on the stage? And why is Thomas More's executioner looking ominous.

Our production won the 1996 Spelthorne Festival and at the Woking Festival Paul Surrey won the Best Actor Award for playing the title role, while Frankie Godliman won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her portrayal of Sarah Siddons.
