Leatherhead Drama Festival Winners

RDG's production of An Incident At The Border wins the prestigious Leatherhead Drama Festival.
Having been runners up at the Elmbridge Festival in March, RDG's production of An Incident At The Border went one better at the Leatherhead Festival in May. The adjudicator, Jan Palmer-Sayer, heaped praise on the production, including the acting, direction, sound and lighting and the superb set, which elicited an appreciative gasp from the audience when the curtains opened.
At her final summing up of the festival, Jan announced that RDG's production were overall winners of the festival. The play was performed again at the Final Gala evening on 19th May, together with the winners of the Junior Week - Woking College Theatre Company's production of Peepshow. These two plays also were winners and runners up at the Elmbridge Drama Festival back in March.
David Webb was awarded Best Actor (a repeat of his award at Elmbridge) and Anna Beuden was nominated for Best Actress. The third member of the cast, Paul Foster was given a 'special mention' for his performance.
