Woking Drama Festival Results

A total of fifteen awards and nominations were achieved by our two entries in the 2010 Woking Drama Festival

Our performance of An Englishman Abroad at the recall night of Woking Festival went really well and received much praise.

However, we did not win the festival but came a close second to Prometheus Theatre Company's fantastic production of 'Tape' by Stephen Belber Congratulations to Jamie Sims, Duncan Wigman and Charlotte Newton John, who performed and directed the production. All three have formerly acted with RDG. Duncan and Charley also won the Best Actor and Actress trophies.

We did not come away without prizes though and it was also a triumphant night for Jane Walters' RDG Youth Workshop's production of 'Face to Face'. Between the plays a total of fifteen awards and nominations were collected. Full results and nominations below :

Runners Up Trophy Best Director - Judy Dolley Technical Excellence Shield Best Backstage Management Award

Nominations : Best Actor - David Webb Best Actress - Frankie Godliman Lighting Award Sound Award

Face to Face:

The Youth Award Lighting Award

Nominations: Adjudicator's Award (for the creativity of the production) Best Director - Jane Walters Best Junior Player - Megan Pike Technical Excellence Sound Award

We now perform again at Spelthorne Festival this coming week at the Riverside Arts Centre, Lower Sunbury. Face to Face performs on Tuesday 19th and An Englishman Abroad on Saturday, 23rd. If you missed Woking (or even if you didn't!) please come along and support your groups and the festival.
