Sarah Slater
Sarah joined the group in 2017 and was immediately cast in the ensemble of our musical White Christmas for which she made some of the colourful costumes. She followed this by playing an on-stage wardrobe mistress in Alan Bennett's People and went on to give a remarkably funny performance as Margaret Thatcher in Handbagged. By complete contrast she ended a very busy year by playing the saucy French mistress of Charles II in Nell Gwynn. Another sexually voracious character played with great attack by Sarah came with her role as Lady Politic in our classic comedy Volpone. In Sister Act she accomplished two amazingly contrasting performances - as a night club dancer and a nun! After the pandemic hiatus Sarah appeared in the surreal comedy Bear Hug which won three awards at he 2021 Maidenhead Drama Festival. In 2022 she was one of the impressive singers in our musical Chess while the following year she appeared in several cameo roles in Under Milk Wood. She ended the year when she was a vital part of our award-winning production of Albertine in Five Times where was nominated for her acting performance. The following year she was part of the engaging team in our award winning festival play To Know When My Time Will Come.
