The Real Inspector Hound (2)
by Tom Stoppard
The Real Inspector Hound (2) had 3 performances over 23 years ago (between the 10th of July 2001 and the 12th of July 2001) at The Riverhouse Barn
The Real Inspector Hound does not attempt to solve any great world problems, or even examine them. It is a play within a play; played for farce, and with a blithe stab at that great imported art form: The British Murder Mystery. Two critics, one astute but professionally frustrated, the other light-hearted yet romantically bewildered, view the proceedings with their review pens in hand, making this a comedy a high parody and a clever satire of the loftiest goals of art.
This play was presented as a double bill with the multi-award winning Lear's Daughters.
